Finmaku Oy offers delicious sweets in design packages. Our special packaging series is inspired by the rich roots of Finnish history. The girls are dressed in historical folk costumes from all over Finland, and also included is the Swedish national costume as a tribute to our second official language.

Artist/CEO Irina Vainio explains the history behind her illustrations: ”In the beginning, I had an idea for hand-painted wooden dolls. Painting the ornated folk costumes required careful, slow work. Demand for my hand-painted dolls grew, and for years I was wondering how to bring supply to the same level. I decided to use my illustration designs in candy jars, and was finally ready for an industrial scale production.

In the future the I'm going to expand the design family to celebratory characters, and will also be producing custom made figures, for example as corporate gifts."
